NDA Target Batch

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. It is national level exam conducted every year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for the officer rank level selections of candidates who get qualified and are selected for training of Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force.

Examination Details

Vacancies	370-420 (208 for Army, 42 for Navy and 120 for Air Force (including 28 for ground Duties) Naval Academy : 48 Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the Availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy.
Exam Schedule	NDA 1 in April NDA 2 in September
Age Limit, Gender & Marital Status	Applying Age – 15.5 – 18.5 years Joining Age – 16.5 – 19.5 years Unmarried male candidates only
Educational Qualification	For Army — 12th passed or appearing in any stream For Air Force, Navy & Naval Academy — 12th passed or appearing with Physics and Mathematics.
Selection Procedure	Written Exam conducted by UPSC SSB Interview conducted by Service Selection Boards of Army/Navy and Air Force Medical Examination
Training	For Army/Navy/Air Force - 3 Years at National Defence Academy & 1 Year at IMA/AFA/NA For Naval Academy - 4 Years B.Tech Course at Naval Academy
