Indian Navy Entrance Testi.e. INET is a Commissioned Level Examination Conducted by Indian Navy for selection of Male and Female Officers in Indian Navy.INET is conducted twice a year and gives both Short Service and Permanent Commission .INET is conducted for recruitment in Executive Branch (Naval Armament, Observer, Pilot, ATC, Logistics, IT),Technical Branch (Engineering Branch, Electrical Branch)and Education Branch.

For most branch entries B.Tech course graduates are eligible and for other subjects different educational qualification of different streams is required.

For Technical Branches - 60 % Minimum in B.Tech For Non-Technical Branches- 40 % Passing Marks in Required Course

A person having foreign citizenship cannot apply for INET but If He/She has an Indian passport and documents supporting his/her claim of Indian citizenship then they can apply for INET.

The toughness level varies from easy to difficult depending upon a candidate’s approach and preparation.

A candidate gets +1 for the correct answer and -1 under for every wrong answer.
